Dear Prospective Employer:
I am presently seeking programming work on a contractual/telecommuting basis.
I have been programming in Foxpro since the fall of 1989. Working for the
University of Rhode Island's student union, I have developed an event scheduling
program using Foxpro 2 in a Novell LAN environment. My program is presently used
as the primary facility scheduling program for the entire university. Having
worked closely with end users to ensure a perfect product, I feel that my
appreciation of end user concerns is quite comprehensive.
In addition to the aforementioned program, I have also co-authored a work
order program, and am now finishing up work on a purchase order program. While
I do not presently own a developer's copy of Foxpro (the only Foxpro work I
have done is for my employer, who owns a copy), I am prepared, when employment
is available, to purchase a copy at the drop of a hat.

for some small sample programs, including slider.zip and message.zip. Some

Programmer/Analyst, URI Memorial Union Systems Office.
Developed "Rooms and Resources," a versatile and powerful multi-user event
scheduling program which coordinates approximately 4,000 events per year for a
college campus of over 10,000 undergraduate students. Using Foxpro, have
developed considerable skills in such areas as programming for multiple users,
SQL and normalized database design, user interface, event-driven programming,
and programmer-user relations.
September 1992 to present
Research Project, URI Department of Linguistics.
Developed FLab (Features Laboratory), a tool to aid linguists in classifying
and working with distinctive features. Developed using C across Atari, MS-DOS,
and UNIX platforms.
July 1992
Published Article, FoxTalk Magazine.
Wrote SLIDER, an article describing and demonstrating a sliding control
object for the Foxpro user interface.
