JOB DUTIES:
• Administer Retirement Plan, Tax Deferred Investment Plan, Medical
Staff Pension Plan and the Medical Staff’s 403(b) plan
• Administer the benefit programs; oversees and processes the
technical benefits administration which includes enrollments,
terminations, changes in benefit status, verification and payment of
billing statements; oversees COBRA system; participates in the
installation and management of the benefits data in the HRIS system
• Works with employees and families to administer claims for life
insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, long-term
disability and personal accident insurance.
• Serves as a point of contact for employee discrimination and
harassment complaints, labor grievances, and other employee/labor
issues
• Acts as a liaison between employees and benefit carriers in an
effort to resolve problems and issues regarding coverage
• Assists in the management of any unemployment claims
• Counsels employees concerning work-related problems
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years experience in HR
• HR experience focused on benefits, employee relations & leave of
absence (recent & deep knowledge)
• Experience using Ceridian system in the past year
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations
including ADA, FMLA, EEO, WFCA , wage and hour, L&I, unemployment,
FLSA and EEO laws
• Prior collective bargaining experience, experience with union
relations, is preferred
• Knowledge and prior experience with HR policies and practices
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Bachelor’s degree
