AFRICAN RESEARCH PROJECTS
Since 1985, various cultural and sociological activities have
been undertaken with religious organizations, political science
and African studies institutions, African government and
development agencies, which include:
African Transurban Program - *Foundation for Contemporary
Research*, Capetown, South Africa.
Consultant since 1988, for a program on the comprehensive
study of emergent African networks and informal
institutions. The project examines enabling socioeconomic
practices of Africans in African and Western urban sites.
Special interest is given to popular economies and real and
potential affiliations with various institutional
structures.
