Position: Senior Test and Support Engineer. Provide excellent
testing services for the Astoria document component management
system. Provide quality support with a high degree of customer
satisfaction, technical expertise, and timeliness.
Responsibilities: Analyze product features and product design,
design and create tests to accurately evaluate the reliability
and usability of the software, execute tests, and document
results. Report results in an objective manner and interact with
development, documentation and management to facilitate the best
decisions for the product and the customer. May work with
developers to assist in unit testing. Lead or participate in
team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of testing.
Provide expert and creative solutions to user problems of a
complex nature to ensure user satisfaction and productivity.
Research, resolve, and respond to complex questions in
accordance with support standards. Escalate problems to
development when appropriate. Distribute workarounds and
patches. Provide support reports and consultation to management.
Lead or participate in team projects that enhance the quality or
efficiency of support.
Desired Experience: 4 year technical degree, programming
experience (preferably MSTest), 4+ years working experience.
Technical proficiency in Windows NT and UNIX. Excellent verbal
and written communication skills. Integrity and a commitment to
quality. Ability and willingness to adapt quickly to change.
Aptitude for acquiring new skills and knowledge. Desired
familiarity with Word, Excel, SGML, HTML, client/server
applications.
