Established, multifaceted, agricultural entity located in South Central
California, has an immediate need for an Operations Analyst. This is a
long-term career opportunity, with considerable advancement potential, for
an experienced professional with a background in agriculture, to coordinate
data collection and analysis efforts related to cultural operations.

Responsibilities

The Operations Analyst will oversee the collection of data, the
implementation of databases, and the analysis and distribution of
information for field operations including harvest, pest monitoring,
irrigation, and research and development.

* Develop consistent and efficient data collection methods related to
harvest and pest monitoring.

* Oversee product sampling data collection

* Oversee the collection and distribution of information related to winter
sanitation, pest traps, and field sampling

* Organize, analyze, and distribute harvest information related to product
transportation, yield, and quality

* Assist with yield forecasting for all crops

* Reconcile internal operational data with external data provided by
processors and trade associations

* Analyze the relationships between harvest results, pest monitoring, and
cultural activities

* Assist Information Systems in developing databases and programs related to
data collection

* Provide analysis and support for accounting and field management

Qualifications

* Degree in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Crop Science,
Plant Science, Food Science and Nutrition, Agronomy or related field.
Advanced degree preferred.

* Knowledge of relational databases including the use of database query
tools preferred.

* Proficient with Excel

* Work history in an agricultural setting providing evidence of strong
analytical skills

* Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
