This individual will be responsible for Integrated Circuit Design Engineering aspects of new product development for specialized Off Line and DC-DC Switching regulators, controllers, and other customer-specific and application-specific power management products. Required roles include supervisory responsibility for design and layout engineers as well as accountability for Product Feasibility Analyses (PFA), Intellectual Property Assessments, Design Reviews and Layout Reviews, Laboratory Characterization, Specification for Release to Production, and Customer Interaction. The individual described will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the market landscape including customer associations and competitive ICs and solutions.
Electrical Engineering degree and 10+ years of directly related experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills in a cross-functional team environment and motivation to drive business goals. Should be able to work independently and be self motivated as well, and coordinate the technical aspects of new product development. Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Thorough competency in the use of semiconductor design, simulation, analysis, and silicon CAD tools including the Cadence Opus tool suite.
Strong competency in the use of laboratory equipment and characterization of semiconductors and their applications.
Knowledge of the use and understanding of tools related to all aspects of product development including test and applications, and basic software such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
