Performance DBA
Database administration skills must include: Must have 6 or more years
experience in OLTP and Data warehouse administration. Must be
available for rotating on-call pager. Must have strong expertise in
Quest Shareplex/Oracle(10G) Streams or other replication technology
Installation and Configuration to support database replication.
Experience of managing large production databases from 1 to 9
Terabytes in size in a Solaris/Linux environment. Candidate will be
required to write extensive SQL and PL/SQL tuning statements and Unix/
Perl scripts. Able to work independently and productively under
pressure Back-up/Recovery Procedures - Expert knowledge of 10G RMAN
via on-line and general understanding Oracle "snapshotting" a plus.
Interact with Hotwire's Program Management Office, QA, Operations, and
Product teams to ensure proper coordination and implementation of
database changes and requests. Regularly keep management abreast of
technical issues and their impact to the business. Database upgrades
and migrations Plan, evaluate and apply necessary database quarterly
security patches. Must have strong hands-on ASM storage administration
experience. Copy production databases to development, QA and Staging
areas
Work Experience and Education Guidelines: Must have 6 or more years
experience with Oracle database administration and tuning 4-year
degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
