Test Engineer
Job Description: The Test Engineering Associate will develop testing
requirements for new features and functionality of Brocade routing and
bridging software while working closely with design and other test
engineers to understand feature requirements and translate to test
cases. This requires the ability to quickly and effectively execute
testing assignments. The primary product responsibilities are to
certify the stackable product line such as the FGS.
This candidate exercises judgment within generally defined practices
and policies to solve problems that have no clear parameters; notifies
appropriate individuals or managers as decisions are made; decisions
typically involve co-ordination of resources. Discusses and presents
information and issues within Brocade and externally. The candidate is
viewed as a resource within the organization. The candidate will
influence others to achieve objectives.
Qualifications/Job Responsibilities: Strong working knowledge with TCP/
IP, RIP/OSPF/BGP, IP Multicast, SNMP, and Network Management.
Familiarity with the testing process and product cycle with formal
testing methodologies is desired. Experience with L2 protocols such as
IGMP, Spanning Tree, VLAN and so forth is highly desirable. Experience
with white box/API testing and automated testing is a plus.
BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent preferred GPA of 3.0
or higher desired Working experience in a datanetworking environment
is a plus Previous experience with network hardware, routers and
switches as well as routing protocols, network diagnostic tools and
network traffic simulation tools is a plus
