Dominick,

Since you are using TC2000, take a look at

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to decide which program is better suited for trendline analysis.

I'm currently using Worden Brothers TC2000 Pro. Unfortunately, trendlines
must be manually drawn. I previously owned Wall Street Analyst by Omega
Research and found it to be crude. However, I just received an email for
there new Techno trends and retractments enhancements to SUPERCHARTS 4.0 by
Omega. I've also been informed that METASTOCK has a trendline feature as
well. Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions on either program. All
assistance is appeciated.

Thanks,
Dominick

I just purchased SuperCharts on 10/07/97 and upgraded MetaStock to 6.5.
I have been using MetaStock since 1986 , but I write my own programs to do
my analysis.
SuperCharts has automatic trendlines and MetaStock does not (I think one of
the older versions did).
I have wrote a formula for MetaStock 6.5 that will draw automatic
trendlines across the bottoms of a stock and will upgrade this formula as
time permits. Just send me a Email with the subject MetaStock Trendlines
and I will send it to anybody for free.

My formula is not based on the Zig zag indicator which uses percent or
point parameters that do not work well when you scan all stocks because of
the different price ranges.

MetaStock has a 2000 stock limit for each directory and SuperCharts does
not.

I currently use MetaStock for my Parallel Trend Channel Charts at my web
site, their chart object
works pretty good. I dont see any chart object for SuperCharts.

If you purchase MetaStock get version 6.5 it allows you to use up to 20
variables in the formula
language.
