Yep. Went to Mendocino. Wife and I used to come up here when dating back in the late 70s. Hung out at Noyo River docks and restaurants. Went canoeing on Big (Little?) River. Grandfather did his first job in Arcata on a wooden pipeline. Father has fond memories of that when he was a boy. Places up there are all built up compared to when I used to go there in my college days. Did mean Boonville. Wife hated the twisty roads.

Sorry you had a stroke. You are my age. YIKES! Two year younger brother will have a kidney removed next month. They found a nodule. Since you only need 1 kidney and since biopsies there are a pain, they just take it out.

I do not take any aspirin because it seems like I bleed too much as it is when I accidentally scratch my arm. I take Lipitor, Lopid (two statins), Lisinopril (although I have never measured hi blood pressure) + diabetic meds (no insulin). I am 5'10" 205 lbs.68 years old.
Sorry it is difficult for you to type. Finger muscles?? or just coordination?
I am not really afraid of the surgical knife. I had my eyelids raised 2 years ago. One operation for each eye. Worked on one eye, but the other eye lid still sits lower.
I think Marin county is the nicest place to live in the entire country. I ate at a restaurant there when I was a student at UC Berkeley from 78-79.

Mornings are better than afternoon. When I starts getting frustrating I stop. But I am alive and should recover in time. Took 10 minutes to type this note. Fortunately I have my Son here. He does everything.

Strokes are unpredictable!
No symptoms!
Keep your BP, Cholesterol etc... normal!
Stay away from hamburgers or red meat!
Eat lot of fish, fattier the better, like salmon!
Aspirin thins your blood, flows better!
Get well!

BP is the silent killer!
Tears up your arteries inside!
Keep it normal!
No coffee, drink decaff!

I take Vecepa which is prescription fish oil. Google it. No, have never been to Trident restaurant but have definitely been to Sausalito. Went to Spengers Fish Grotto in Berkeley back in the day. I think McCormick and Schmick has since bought the place. Restaurant I liked in Marin was 464 Magnolia. I believe it is no longer there. Should have gone to Che Panise (Alice Waters) in Berkeley but never did. Went to Trader Vics on Cosmo place in San Francisco as well as other cool restaurants. My uncle showed them all to me. He had a PhD in nuclear physics and worked for PG&E on their nuclear plants. He died very young in 1986 (at age 50 of myocarditist. Flu complications).

It reduces the clotting ability, so you bleed easier
but have less chance of a blood clot blocking a blood vessel in
the heart (heart attack) or the brain (one type of stroke).
However, there is higher chance of other bleeding in the stomach
or brain (other type of stroke). So whether it is good for
you depends on your exact conditions. For a while it was
thought everyone of 60 should take aspirin because it clearly
reduced heart attacks in studies. However, the drawbacks
started to appear. Studies indicate it is very helpful after
a heart attack or clotting stroke, but otherwise the risks
sort balance the benefits. My doctor had me on aspirin for
a while because of my age, but had me stop after longer term evidence
showed that type 2 diabetics did not live any longer with
aspirin so it was not worth the risk.

Thanks for this fact. I have type 2 and do not take baby aspirin. Seems like my blood is thin enough as it is since whenever I cut or scratch myself, it seems to bleed a lot. My buddy took it and he stopped after being hospitalized with an ulcer. Not sure the aspirin caused it but did not help.
