Art Garfunkel wasn't feeling so groovy after upstate cops busted him for
speeding and found marijuana in his pocket, officials said.
The 62-year-old half of the legendary duo Simon and Garfunkel was charged with
possession of pot after state police pulled over his limo in Hurley Saturday
and allegedly got a whiff of weed.
They searched Garfunkel, who was alone, and found a small amount of marijuana
in his jacket pocket, said State Police Capt. Louis Barbaria.
Barbaria said officers didn't realize they had busted a famous singer until he
told them he was a celebrity.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer faces a $100 fine if convicted of the
violation, Barbaria said.
