Bob Brinkers web site has for the past 10 days suspended all discussions on his
web site. Does anyone know why?

What is the web link?

Thanks,

Since he became god, he doesn't feel he has to discuss anything with
anybody?

Reyhooke, for a guy who slobbers over every word he says, its strange that you
have not caught on to the fact that it is a signal that he is making a change
in his short term trading advice.

The last time he did that was early last month when he told his slave-like
followers to buy the QQQa again for temp. bounce presenting a quick profit
opportunity.

Of course any of his drooling sycophants who did, took it in the shorts to date
(interesting and telling that you did not come here boasting about that call).

So maybe he is throwing in the towel on that less than sterling call, and
apparently right when it looks like it may turn around and make him look good
again.

What a joke!

Here are two discussion boards about Bob Brinker that will answer all your
questions:

http://www.suite101.com/discussion.cfm/investing/46057/latest

http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/subject.gsp?subjectid=10880

Whenever I need a good laugh, I vist these two boards, now that I cant get
my yuks at Bob Brinkers web site any more since he did away with the
discussion boards.

Bob sent out a bulletin to all his newletter subscribers in early October (I
think) telling them to buy the QQQ's immediately for a quick 20% profit.
There was no date on the bulletin and no price. So everybody, like sheep,
bought in at around 84 and watched it drop to 55 recently.

Bob couldn't take all the heat, so he pulled the discussion groups from his
web site but you could access them only if you were a newletter subscriber
and then only if he didn't ban you from the site previously. Now it looks
like even subscribers don't have access to the discussion boards anymore.

I heard rumors that he was retiring from his radio show.

I took a look at one of the sites listed, and like the looks of it. Didn't
read much, but it does look good.

Ric, thanks for the links! Man, they are really raking BB over the
coals, aren't they?

No matter what happens from here with the QQQ's, Brinker blew this call
bigtime. Even if they go to 100 by March, his timing was way off, and he
is supposed to be a market timer.
But it's a tough business, and all financial "experts" are wrong a lot
of the time. I still think his record is better than anyone's.

What I don't like is his inability to admit it when he is wrong, and his
inability to accept criticism. Personally, I believe he shut down the
boards because there was too much criticism. I believe it was a
disservice to his subscribers, especially the novices who received
comfort by going there and "talking" with their fellow QQQ traders. At
the very least, he should have posted an explanation on his site
(preferably a TRUE explanation).

I mean, why couldn't he just say: "These boards have degenerated into a
bash Bob Brinker frenzy, and therefore I have decided to shut them down.
I am under no obligation to host a message board for people to criticize
me. If you want to bash me, go to Suite 101. Meanwhile, I continue to
anticipate a counter-trend rally....."

Personally, my respect for him would have grown if he had done that.

Anyway, thanks again for the links!

So what? He saw a quick profit opportunity in Nov. for the QQQs that resulted
in quick deep losses for his slavering followers. They lost everything they
made on last spring's QQQ call.

What will it take to finally shake the faith of a true believer like yourself?

What a joke!

Well, all i can say is everyone is right some of the time. And Bob needs an
income from some source, he just happens to do it analyzing the market.

Why? Cause he made a horrible call and can't (once again) face up to

I wonder if Brinker has "advised" his followers to buy QQQ yesterday or
this morning before the Fed cut rates.

First he tells his loyal followers to move 60% of their life savings into
cash (a drastic move). And now he demands $200 from each of them to learn
how to reengage the money since he won't talk market timing outside his
news letter anymore.

Can you imagine what BB would say if someone called his radio show telling
the same story about a financial planner. I think BB's word is SHARK
ATTACK.

Even as a subscriber this was a turning point for me. Bad Karma if you
know what I mean.....

A drastic move which turns out to have been exactly right.

That's his right, of course, just as its your right not to listen.

But of course, someone who posts anonymously doesn't have very firm
convictions to begin with.

Half or more of the people here post anonymously. It's the smart thing to
do.

I remember when everybody posted to Usenet with their real, deliverable
e-mail address. Of all the sins committed by the spammers, destroying
the viability of the open Internet was the worst.

Have to, if dick, er bob finds out who you are that SOB will call you
at home, cancel your subscription, lock you out of his thread, well no
need for that, he removed the threads when he couldn't control what
people said.

The truth hurts him so he removes the thread.
