The question we are asking in this article is whether a fresh Forex
trader should take a Forex trading training program or similar
training course?
By now you have surely seen the statistic that only 5% of Forex
traders actually make a genuine success of there venture. In my
opinion this is down to a lack of preparation and knowledge so the
answer to the question is a definite yes.
The first factor to look at in a Forex training program is the
content. A lot of training courses don't go past the simple basics. Of
course this is important, but if you are to learn and get consistent
results you need a system that will go the extra mile to give you as
many chances as possible.
As far as I am concerned the areas below are a must for any Forex
trading training system and should be covered in any program you
decide upon.
1) Without stating the obvious all courses should cover Forex basics
such as margins, the different types of orders and cover some
background on Forex past and rise in recent times.
2) Any course should not be too biased, and point out pitfalls with
Forex trading so you can learn from their mistakes. This will prevent
you learning the hard way when big decisions come along.
3) Mechanical and discretion are the two major approaches practised by
Forex trading, so having both ways detailed to you will help keeps the
odds stacked on your side.
4) Forex trading psychology is very under rated, because emotions will
get out of control at times and keeping these in check will help make
smart decisions, so having a chapter on how to look at situations will
benefit you greatly.
The mechanics of a Forex training system should always be researched
so that you can get used to it as soon as possible. A good Forex
training system should keep this as easy as possible for a new
starter, and add other perks for a new trader such as a live
conference and a one to one mentoring system for example. Forex
training programs that offer a forum for members can be invaluable for
keeping a favorable learning curve and should be looked for.
Trading the Forex market is not a get rich quick scheme and is not for
the lazy, but the rewards are there in abundance. By all means take a
Forex trading training course and pick the best one for you and only
you and you will have a great chance of a successful trading career.
