Dear Fellow Trader,

I would like to receive any comments on Mentoring Institute, Inc.
commodities trading and mentoring program.

Here is the link for those who have not come across it yet.

http://www.tradingmentor.com/

I would appreciate any comments from people who have taken this course
and are still trading.

Please either post your comments on the News Group or forward them to

Thank you

They cold-called me about their training course. When
I asked where they got my number from he became defensive
"If you don't want to learn and be successful thats fine
by me" and hung up. Not very professional. However I did
look at their website and was also wondering if anyone
has tried their course(s).

Look closer at their website ( http://www.tradingmentor.com/ ). It
looks really fishy to me. Consider:

1. In their mentor profiles, you have names like Bob, Bud,
Glenn, etc. Just first names, and extremely vague qualifications
("frequently quoted in national publications"). No way to identify
if any "mentor" actually has a track record. No way to verify it.

2. In their course outline, they tout the usual
questionable/mystical methods: Candlesticks (this is the "advanced"
course), Fibonacci, Gann, Elliot Wave, "Delta phenomenon" and so on.

3. Their testimonials, are, of course, unverifiable, as far as I could
tell.

They cold-called me too. The lady on the phone, thinking I was an
utter newbie, insisted that consistent 400% returns are normal, and
that trading is easy. I didn't want to argue with her, and said so.
She asked "are you in a bad mood?" I said, "I am, NOW." And she
hung up.

Just assume that anybody who cold calls you is selling snake oil! If
you are really interested, call a broker and get his suggestions. And a
reading list. May I suggest John Lothian, and John Matte, who both post
in this news group.
