I have a reference book that indicates the Malaysia's single phase
voltage as 230 volts, 50 hz. Sorry, I am not sure about the voltage
fluctuation limits

Hello
Just to inform you that the declared voltage in Malaysia is 240 Volts
(single phase) or 415 Volts (3 phase) and the allowable voltage
variation is +5 -10%. The frequency is 50 Hz.

The Handbook on Electricity Supply(Sept 1989) states that the low voltage
system voltage is 415/240V, 3-phase four-wire. The supply frequency is
50Hz plus or minus 1%.
