I just opened a small shop here on longisland I own everything. ryobi
3302 scitex imagesetter cutter ect...I can run great 4 color ( small
runs) and 2 color jobs. I have a very low overhead (rent) and some
base accounts. To keep this shop open i need 7500 per mo. I only have
about 3000 now after being open may and june. July is very slow
(summer Blues) and with all this stuff going down on wall street cant
be helping too.
I am going out about 4 hours per day just droping off my flyers Bus
cards and pads with my company name on it. I know theres work out
there one of the shops up the road just put in a new speedmaster 52 4
color and started out like me 7 years ago.
I have 20 years in this business and know it well. But want I wanted
to know what is the best way to ramp up sales? I have all of Tom's
books so I know my prices are in line. I use the low book. DO you
think it could just be a bad time of year? If any one can give me some
pointers it will be of great help.

All I have for advice is to just do what you say you are going to and do it
"that" right. If you provide a good product when people want it then you
should have no problem in this biz.

How is your pricing? Are you cutting everyones prices in your market. That
kind of practice tends to scare off the really good clients. They are smart
enough to know that if you arent charging enough either, you are doing a
"shotty" job or your just going to add it on at the end or you'll be late
with the job.

JUNK!
