The easiest way is to get ahold of a copy of Best's Agent's Guide, which
should be available at your U of M library or the Baltimore Public
Library. Failing on that, you can contact A. M. Best, which is in New
Jersey, although I am not exactly sure of what town in NJ. They do have
a listing with (800) information. They track all legal reserve insurance
companies in the US, and they have information on all changes of name,
mergers, acquisitions, etc. Good luck.

Since the states regulate and license insurance companies to do
business in each state, the insurance department of the state where you
bought the policy should be able to help you. These state departments
often have 800 numbers. Good luck!
>Does any one know who took over the company Knights Life Insurance
>Company of America. Or does anyone know how I can find this
>information.
Where was Knights Life located? If it's the Knights Life that was in Pittsburgh
PA, the company is now known as American General of Delaware...all their
administration is handled thorough American General Life & Accident, located in
Nashville TN...on the other hand, if its another Knights Life, who knows?
Best of luck!
