Interviewing with American Income Life Insurance. Any tidbits I should know
about? Earning potential seems almost too good to be true. Also I will
have to front $225 for the training materials and licensing fees, is this
normal???

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin

Kevin, I know absolutely NOTHING about this particular
company. HOWEVER, I am alerted by your comment
that the "earnings seem to be too good". In all probability
they are. Watch out for the possibility that it might be a
"pyramid" type of operation.

And NO, most Life Insurance companies do NOT CHARGE
you anything to teach you how to sell their products. True,
YOU do have to normally pay for the schooling required to
obtain a State License, but many compaies even re-imburse
you for that............

Kevin,

I would recommend you take a look at other players in the insurance
industry Met, Prudential, Ny Life, Mass Mutual, and so forth. I know for a
fact most insurance companies do not ask you to "front money" for anything.

Good Luck

Kevin,

Never heard of them till you mentioned them (could be a subsidiary of a
larger insurer). From the looks of their webiste they appear to be a niche
player in the guaranteed/simplified issue market. These programs can be very
profitable if you stay on script and don't try to get cute. If you need a
creative outlet, this probably won't be your cup of tea.

Kevin, I don't know what state, and therefore, agency you will be
interviewing with, but if it is an Altig International agency, as a
former agent with this group, I can guarantee you this:

The earning potential is there - and IS NOT TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! I
have personally watched new agents go from starting out green from a
job in a home depot type store, to earning over $8000 gross per month
in less than 1 year.

This was achieved by following the direction of his managers and
staying on the script, and most importantly in any endeavor -
activity. If the activity is there, the money will come.

The front money will be for your license and testing fees as required
by state law. American Income does not charge for any training. You
will be responsible for all of your expenses, as you are not an
employee, but rather an independent contractor.

Most people don't realize this fact when they get started. There
isn't going to be ANY money for a WHILE. You first have to get
through insurance school and pass all your tests, and get your license
(life and health) in hand. Then, comes your training with American
Income for 1 - 6 weeks depending which agency you are with, then after
you get out in the field on your own, it will take you a week or two
to 'get it down' and learn how to respond to the various situations
you will find yourself in, with most challenges arrising from having
gotten off script. You will have to discover this on your own, and
then realize why it is beaten into you to "stay on script". The
script was written by people who understand psychology, and every word
is there for a specific reason, whether you understand it or not is
not important. Just do it, and it will happen for you.

So as long as you have some funds to get started with, and don't need
immediate income, and can stick it out till the renewals start coming
in, this is indeed the "GOLDEN GOOSE" if you want it.

Just think of it this way. You don't do any cold calls, primarily
members of labor unions who have requested information. That's why
most people haven't heard of AIL, is because they don't deal with the
general public. Another big plus - You will NEVER be asked to call on
ANY of your family or friends. Tell me another insurance company that
can guarantee you that one.!!! Most want you to make a list of 100 -
200 of everyone you have ever met.

The only reason I am a former agent with AIL is because of urgent
family concerns have kept me at home and unable to get out and work
like I wanted to. When I worked, I made great money.

Go for it Kevin.

Yes it's normal.
But good compagnies dont ask you to pay
The comission with AIL is around 20% of the primium.
Some compagnies give 100 to 150 %
