Help Finding Insurance Company

I need to find out the insurance company that a seller of a property I
bought was with. He received funds for roof replacement that he
didn't apply to the roof that I'm now stuck with. He refuses to pay
although he made a representation at closing that he would and money
was escrowed for it. Unfortunately for me, the money that was
escrowed for the roof is probably less than the amount it will take to
replace it. Furthermore, since the money won't be going to the
seller, but to a roofer, he is not inclined to move on it. He is also
stonewalling me for the insurance information for fear I will tell
them about this manuver. I have a clue report showing the payment,
but it does not say the insurance company. Is there a way to find
out?
