I apologise to people in rec.radio.amateur.equipment if this posting is inappropriate. I checked there to see if FS postings were ok, and saw several relevant ones that weren't getting stamped on so I decided to take the risk. The odds are that high permeability ferrites are in such sghort supply in the UK or EU in general that few even think to look often enough on eBay to catch a one week listing, so I took the risk of posting. Most radio enthusiasts might have uses for them, so if it please just one person to see this, it justifies this single post, I hope.

Well bozo, you'd be wrong.
Rec.radio.amateur.equipment is for the discussion of amateur radio
equipment.
It's not a forsale newsgroup, never has been.
Just because clueless people put their ads here doesn't make it a forsale
newsgroup.
But you've done worse than that. You've seen ads and decided you can post
your ad here. But, even if ads were allowed, they would surely be limited
to ads for amateur radio equipment, ie transmitters, receivers,
transceivers, antennas, and accessories. That's what "equipment"
means. Parts do not fit into that misinterpretation of the newsgroup.
Nobody complains? I get tired, since virtually all of the traffic here is
ads. That doesn't make it right. And like I said a few weeks or months
back, it's absurd to see ads in this newsgroup, because there isn't even
content to ensure people are reading the newsgroup to see the ads. If a
newsgroup isn't being used, ads won't be an improvement, but they also
won't bring in those dollars you want, since few will read a relatively
dead newsgroup.
You've failed miserably, even in your silly pronouncement of "being
helpful". No, you don't care that someone would miss your ebay auction,
you care that you won't get enough bids to drive up the price, so you
won't make as much money on the transaction. Which is why you spam this
newsgroup, rather than rely on ebay that surely has far more readers than
this fairly dead newsgroup.

So I won't do it again. haven't done it before either. of course you don't
notice a year of on-topic postings, often helping answer people, you just
vent spleen high wide and plentiful because you feel self righteous. And you
expect people to READ that drivel? You waste a lot more than I did. YOu must
be a truly miserable son of a bitch.

You didn't even notice that I pointed out an eBay listing, did you? For what
it's worth, your opinion means nothing. There are people I respect, and I'll
listen to those if they speak, but you are NOT among them.
