I entered USA in 1998 with J-1 Visa.I have D/S on my I-94.
Does that mean ,that I'm out of status?
Any help is appreciated .
Thanks

IIRC, you only fall out of status 30 days after the expiration of any
valid IAP-66 you still have. Once you run out of IAP-66's, you need to
make other arrangements to stay.

There is not enough information in your message to say. do you have a
J-1 student or another category visa? are you still in your program?
did your IAP-66 expire? did you get an extention? etc

In general, D/S means duration of status. That is -- as long as you
have a valid IAP-66 form and participate in your IAP-66 exchange
program you are in legal status.

not a legal advice, hope it helps
