When submitting a statutory declaration to TRA with the applicition does
this have to be the original or another certified copy?????
My guess is that it should be the original as this is a legal document
but if anybody has clarification on this I would be very grateful.

Cheers Gary, and Good Luck.

This is one of the forms which should be sent in the original state as
it will have been witnessed by your solicitor or whoever, and, as you
say, it is a legal document. Keep a photocopy for yourself, however,
just in case it goes missing. This of course applies to all your papers
- including your actual visa application - keep a copy no matter how te-
dious or time consuming that may seem. Resurrecting it all from scratch
would be even more time consuming!

Most of your other supporting evidence will be certified copies.

There are other threads on this subject from earlier - please have a se-
arch and you shall find!

Hi Gary,

As Jim has already said your stat dec does need to be the original sign-
ed document. Get 2 originals signed at the same time as you also have
to send one off with your main visa application after TRA approval. In-
fact you need to send exact copies of everything you sent to TRA with
main appl.

Best of luck

My partners mum send copies but no originals. All have been certified by
JP and show stamp "copy". All the other stat decs are originals. Would
they accept it or will they just not bother with it?

As they say - "you pays your money you take your chance".

Not much you can do to retrieve your particular situation but wait to
see if what you have sent is acceptable. If it isn't, they will obvio-
usly let you know and advise what else they need. No panic - could ju-
st delay things a few days.
