Hi,
I am holidaying in Aus and expect to rec my pre-grant letter some time
this month. At which time I will send my travel itinerary to ASPC. I am
going to the Aus High Commission in Auckland to receive my grant.

I dont know how long to plan to stay in NZ while this is processed.
Has anyone out there done this and how long did it take in Auckland?

Best Regards

Sorry silly me just got the answer to my own question from the
Australian High Comissions (http://www.australia.org.nz/) auto-response
email DIMA-A...@dfat.gov.au.....

"If your inquiry can be answered by accessing the above web sites it is
unlikely you will receive a further response from this office.

Advice on procedures for the evidencing of migration or long term
business
visas processed in Australia or at other Australian immigration posts is
provided by the processing office when the visa is ready to be granted.
However applicants are advised they should allow five (5) working days
in
New Zealand for these procedures to be completed.

Just as quick for me in March this year.
Visa granted the day I left Australia (136 visa). I phoned the ASPC to
check it had been granted 2 days later, turned up at the DIMA office at
the Australian Consuate-General in Auckland first thing the following
morning and was on a plane back to Sydney at 3pm that afternoon!

I had allowed 5 working days there as they suggest - but in the end I
changed my flight and came home early.

Enjoy - it was a great feeling. I had the hugest grin from ear to ear
for days after!
