For anyone wondering how fast weight
can be regained, after a record-setting
calorie consumption yesterday and 2 pre-
vious days of > 2,000 calories, in 3
days I've regained 4.6 pounds and .8 in
BMI and .75 inch in waist. Bummer.
The cause? Unquenchable hunger (mostly
on day 3, but it was also there though
less severe 2-3 days ago).
After hitting a wall on my weight loss
efforts, 5 straight days at BMI 23.2
and weight 145.0 pounds, I went over
2,000 calories on day 6, and went up
to 146.2 pounds, BMI 23.4 .
Oh well, time to fix that, or so I
wanted to. For reasons unknown, I was
not able to on my 1st day effort, still
over 2,000 calories, but yesterday,
YIKES, more calories than I've had
since starting my diet in December, ...
... a HUGE amount of everything includ-
ing calories, a gigantonormous 3,708
calories. The reason, mainly, unquench-
able hunger that only was relieved at
around the 3,500th calorie mark, but
I still ate more after that to avoid ...
... going too low (glucose level). Hmmm,
I have had hunger issues at times as I
suppose most everyone has from time to
time when dieting, but yesterday I was
so hungry that I was unable (or unwill-
ing) to resist it and got the results
displayed above & below.
For those thinking low carbs are required
for Islit (Insulinitis, new superior clar-
ifying name for near-total to total loss
of endogenous insulin) glucose levels to
be acceptable, yesterday's HUGE high carb
ingestion (just shy of 700 carbs) shows ...
... that with adequate insulin dosages
(38 total units in this particular case),
glucose levels can be acceptable (aver-
age glucose level yesterday was 119 mg/dl).
