I ran across the following website yesterday,
a website I had not viewed previously. It's not
up-to-date & does not include deaths from
Covid-19. Covid-19 deaths are included from
2 other websites at the bottom of this post.

Causes of Death
First published in February 2018.
Last updated in December 2019.
https://ourworldindata.org/causes-of-death

56 million people died in 2017.

---
Sidenote: What was the world population
in 2017? 7.6 billion.
https://www.google.com/search?&q=What+was+the+world+population+in+2017+as+per+the+United+Nations+Statistics+records

So, 1 of every 135.71 people died in 2017.

End Sidenote

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading
cause of death globally.

The second biggest cause are cancers.

Causes of death vary significantly between
countries: non-communicable diseases dom-
inate in rich countries, whereas infectious
diseases remain high at lower incomes.

The world is making progress against infectious
diseases. As a consequence more people are
dying from non-communicable diseases.

Fewer people die at a young age. Almost half of
all people who die are 70 years & older.

---
Sidenote: Unfortunately, they use wide ranges
for death ages instead of categorizing them in
10 year increments. Almost half of deaths are
at age 70 years & older, a much better analy-
sis would be specifying deaths in much smaller
age increments.

They use under 5, 5-14, 15-49, 50-69, & 70 &
older. They should use under 1, 1-5, 6-17, 18-29,
30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99,
100-109, 110-119, 120 & older.

End Sidenote
---

Leading risk factors for premature death glob-
ally include high blood pressure, smoking, BMI
30 & higher, high glucose level & environmental
risk factors including air pollution.

There is a large difference between what people
die from & which causes of death receive news
coverage.

---
Sidenote: Many times in the article the outdated
anachronistic misleading confusing diabetes word
is used as if that's ONE disease.

That's NOT ONE disease, but instead, is close to 90
specific types of 7 Disparate High Glucose Condi-
tions, with disparate causalities, disparate risk pro-
files, disparate treatment profiles, so keep that in
mind each time you see the outdated misleading
confusing diabetes word.

End Sidenote

In 2019, 7.61% of deaths were from injuries, including
road accidents, homicides, conflict deaths, drowning,
fire-related accidents, natural disasters & suicides.

In 2019, 18.03% of deaths were from communicable,
maternal, neonatal, & nutritional diseases.

In 2019, 74.36% of deaths were from non-communica-
ble diseases including cardiovascular disease, cancers,
Disparate High Glucose Conditions (the overwhelming
majority, over 95%, of the 7 DHGCs cause of death is
caused by the most widespread DHGC, Cellosis, old
outdated name type 2 diabetes) & respiratory disease.

Death Rates from Smoking, 2017

---
Sidenote: Is it just me, or does anyone else get
upset everytime they see someone smoke a
cigarette in a movie, an event I see in almost
every movie, an idiotic throwback to a day &
age prior to the Surgeon General's report on
cigarette smoking in 1964?

---

Global Death by Animal, 2016
https://ourworldindata.org/uploads/2018/04/Deadliest-animals-01-768x540.png

---
Sidenote: The article specifies death by human
includes war, homicide, terrorism, & disease
transmission, so given the recent deaths from
Covid-19 (see below), I surmise the current most
dangerous animal is "human", whereas in 2016
it was the mosquito.

Covid-19
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Worldwide Covid-19 Cases: 403,699,397
Worldwide Covid-19 Deaths: 5,796,191

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Deaths
https://ourworldindata.org/covid-deaths?country=IND~USA~GBR~CAN~DEU~FRA~CHN~RUS~ISR~JPN~AUS~BRA~MEX~PRK~KOR

One of the primary flaws in Covid-19 informa-
tion is the under-reporting problem, the most
pronounced & obviously bogus reporting oc-
curring in China:

January 2 2022
Beijing Is Intentionally Underreporting
China’s Covid Death Rate
https://www.forbes.com/sites/georgecalhoun/2022/01/02/beijing-is-intentionally-underreporting-chinas-covid-death-rate-part-1/?sh=24b511ad4352
https://www.forbes.com/sites/georgecalhoun/2022/01/05/beijing-is-intentionally-underreporting-chinas-covid-death-rate-part-2/?sh=1d8778b773b8

... The Economist estimates that the true number
of Covid deaths in China is not 4,636 – but some-
thing like 1.7 million.

Superior Clarifying Names first created and
defined in 2010, trying to replace outdated

phrases:

The old confusing way which all-too-often
involves folks using the diabetes / diabetic
