Diabetes disparities? To solve all of that,
new superior clarifying names for all of the
disparate diabetes and reactive hypoglycemia
conditions added on May 17, 2010, detailed
at

Diabetes Bubble / Diabetes Bubble Burst
http://prohuman.net/diabetesbubblediabetesbubbleburst.htm

A description of the organization of the
new superior clarifying names follows:

3 disparate glucose areas - High Glucose Con-
ditions (HGCs), Non-Glucose Anomaly (NGA),
Low Glucose Conditions (LGCs)

with 5 disparate new superior clarifying
names - Insulinitis, Cellosis, Diminosis,
Ohiglucons, Insipidus -

included in 10 disparate new superior
clarifying conditions - color-coded
below & in article linked to above
{old names in curly brackets} -

with over 100 disparate new superior
clarifying specific types:

o High Glucose Conditions

~~~
Insulinitis: near-total to total loss of
endogenous insulin
dark red = Insulinitis {type 1 diabetes,
juvenile diabetes, insulin dependent
diabetes, often called diabetes without
any clarifier}, rapid onset - 11 specific
types + 3 disputed specific types
dark pink = Latent Autoimmune Insulinitis
{latent autoimmune diabetes, often called
diabetes without any clarifier}, slow
onset - 1 specific type
~~~

Cellosis: continued but reduced endogen-
ous insulin over time, typically
involves partial beta cell dys-
function & insulin resistance,
typically slow onset

dark blue = PreCellosis {prediabetes, but
only applies to increased risk of getting
Cellosis}, Cellosis {type 2 diabetes, often
called diabetes without any clarifier}:

- Preventable Cellosis - 1 specific type,
estimated that over 85% of Americans
with any HGC have this specific type,

- Unpreventable Cellosis - 20 specific
types, estimated that almost 10% of
Americans with any HGC have one of
these specific types

light blue = Gestational Cellosis {gesta-
tional diabetes, but often called diabetes
without any clarifier} - 1 specific type,
transient but can increase the risk of
later getting Cellosis, risk caused by
pregnancy

~~~
Diminosis: diminished insulin production
due to disparate monogenetic
causality
dark green = Diminosis {maturity onset dia-
betes of the young, but often called dia-
betes without any clarifier}, diminished
but continued endogenous insulin caused
by a monogenetic defect after 6 months of
age - 11 specific types
light green = Neonatal Diminosis {neonatal
diabetes, but often called diabetes without
any clarifier}, diminished but continued
endogenous insulin caused by a monogenetic
defect in the first 6 months after birth -
8 specific types are permanent, 4 specific
types are transient
~~~

Ohiglucons: Other High Glucose Conditions
apart from Insulinitis, Cellosis,
and Diminosis

purple = Ohiglucons, Other High Glucose Con-
ditions {other diabetes mellitus, but often
called diabetes without any clarifier} - 24
specific types:

- 5 specific types are drug or chemical-
induced,

- 5 specific types result from endocrino-
pathies,

- 7 specific types involve exocrine or
pancreas diseases or surgical treatment,

- 4 specific types result from insulin action
defects,

- 2 specific types result from other genetic
syndromes,

- 1 specific type results from anti-insulin
receptor antibodies

~~~
o Non-Glucose Anomaly (NGA)
Insipidus: Excessive urination and extreme
thirst (especially for cold water and some-
times ice or ice water), a non-glucose anom-
aly but 2 specific types also include high
glucose
gray = Insipidus {diabetes insipidus, but
often called diabetes without any clarifier}
- 6 specific types: 4 are non-glucose anom-
alies, 2 specific types include high glucose
o Low Glucose Conditions
~~~

Hut: Hypoglycemia Uncaused by Treatments for
High Glucose

bright red = Hut, Hypoglycemia Uncaused by
Treatments for High Glucose {reactive hypo-
glycemia, hyperinsulinism} - 21 specific
types

~~~
Some of the treatments for High Glucose
cause hypoglycemia, so any HGC treated
with any hypoglycemia-causing med(s) are
included in this area when hypoglycemia
occurs - also called 'insulin reaction'
when hypo is caused by insulin, and -if- ...
... glucose level goes very low: seizure
and/or loss of cognizance and/or loss of
consciousness which can result in death
can occur - estimated that 5% to 11% of
those with Insulinitis die from one final
severe hypoglycemia event too many.
Pro-Humanist FREELOVER, on May 17, 2010,
created new superior clarifying names for
all the disparate conditions which for
close to 1,900 years used the confusing
misleading diabetes word, often without
any clarifier.
Diabetes Bubble / Diabetes Bubble Burst
http://prohuman.net/diabetesbubblediabetesbubbleburst.htm
Remember, the ancient diabetes word, when
that word was created close to 1,900 years
ago, nothing was known about the following:
o In 1869, Paul Langerhans was the first
to describe the islets of Langerhans,
which bear his name.
o In 1921, Frederick Grant Banting and
Charles Herbert Best discovered insulin.
Well, until 1936, there were no clarifiers.
In 1936, 2 clarifiers added (type 1 & type 2)
and many more added since then, but the most
comprehensive detailed array of new superior
clarifying names initially created May 17, 2010,
-and- over 100 new clarifying specific types
added April 9, 2016.
The pre-1936 diabetes term, originating in
the early 100s of the common era, and its
companion, diabetic, shown in large bold
print along with the clarifiers (added be-
tween 1936 and around 1995) in the middle
which are all-too-frequently left off, caus-
ing confusion / misleading / misinforming:
http://prohuman.net/pix2/diabetesdiabeticconfusion.jpg
Consequences of using the diabetes and
diabetic words without a critical defining
companion (i.e., clarifier) and quote
from Carl Sagan which implies support
for my efforts to create new clarifying
names for all the conditions detailed
below:
The new superior clarifying specific types,
complete list, posted in MHD on September 14,
2016:
Fixing the Diabetic and
Reactive Hypoglycemia Problems
Someone with ______ [with old names, ideally
no longer in use, detailed in brackets to
the right of the new names]:
- Insulinitis (Islit) [old name: type 1 diabetes]
Example of this new naming convention with
the exact nonconfusing name for the actual
condition I got in March of 1961, when I was
5 years old:
http://prohuman.net/pix2/someonewithinsulinitis2.jpg
-or-
- Latent Autoimmune Insulinitis (LaIslit) [old name:
latent autoimmune diabetes]
-or-
- PreCellosis (PreClos) [old name: prediabetes]
-or-
- Cellosis (Clos) [old name: type 2 diabetes]
-or-
- Gestational Cellosis (GesClos) [old name: gestational
diabetes]
-or-
- Diminosis (Dios) [old name: maturity onset
diabetes of the young (MODY)]
-or-
- Neonatal Diminosis (NeoDios) [old name: neonatal
diabetes]
-or-
- One of the Other High Glucose Conditions
(Ohiglucons) [old name: typically, called
diabetes, sometimes with a clarifier,
oft-times without a clarifier]
-or-
- Insipidus (Ins) [old name: diabetes insipidus]
-or-
- Hypoglycemia Uncaused by Treatments for High
Glucose (Hut) [old name: reactive hypoglycemia]
Also, in doing away with the old diabetic word,
replace it with the exact condition involved (for
example, instead of diabetic retinopathy, you'd
have Insulinitis Retinopathy if it was caused by
Insulinitis, Cellosis Retinopathy if it was caused
by Cellosis, etc. (see list above).
The moral you missed in that story, the
wolf is the confusion and misleading
caused by the use of the diabetes and
diabetic words without clarifier, and
it's real, and you're covering your
ears and trying to pretend the wolf ...
... doesn't exist or doesn't matter.
That real wolf that you're trying to
pretend doesn't exist or matter, it
exists and matters a lot and it will
only go away (and stop confusing and
misleading everyone) when the new names ...
... I created in 2010 put an end to
the wolf (the confusion & misleading,
the diabetes & diabetic words), the
sooner the better.
Pro-Humanist FREELOVER, promoting putting
an end to the ancient outdated confusing
referring to our disparate High Glucose
... anomaly and one low glucose anomaly
which uses an outdated confusing reactive
hypoglycemia term) ...
clarifying medical terms which hopefully
of those terms, totally:
