The following article, some important facts
to keep in mind:

o Incidence of Insulinitis (proposed new
name for total or near-total loss of endo-
genous insulin) is miniscule in China
(among the lowest incidence in the
world)

o Incidence of Cellosis (proposed new
name for type 2 diabetes) is extremely
high in China, making up almost totally
all of High Glucose Conditions in China
(facts about that difficult to come by
as most articles use the diabetes word
without clarifier when discussing High
Glucose Conditions in China)

o Normal fruit consumption is low in
China

o The following article uses the diabetes
word without clarifier 24 times in the
article

o Suffice to say, all of the references
in the article have a 99.?? % chance of
solely pertaining to Cellosis, as that
condition is pervasive in China, and
Insulinitis incidence is among the low-
est in the world in China

o Per the article, to reduce the risk of
getting Cellosis, eat more fresh fruit,
and to reduce the risk of sequelae in
those who have Cellosis, eat more fresh
fruit

o I rarely mention Richard K. Bernstein
anymore (after reading his book and
thoroughly distancing myself from his
advice), but the following article
(in addition to all the other disad-
vantages of Bernstein's dire low carb
drastic diet) also serves to counter
that diet (Bernstein has all fruit on
his "not to be eaten" list)

The article [with clarifying inserts,
not part of original title, inserted
in brackets]:

[Cellosis] news: Eating fresh fruit
every day 'can lower YOUR risk' [of
getting PreCellosis (proposed new
name for prediabetes) and Cellosis
and of having sequelae resulting
from having Cellosis; it's certain ...

... that fruit has no impact on the
risk of being diagnosed with Insul-
initis, and it's difficult to support
making assumptions about Insulinitis
sequelae reduction from a Chinese
study in which individuals who have ...

... Insulinitis were a miniscule %
(if any) of the individuals in the
study - yet one more reason why the
old outdated confusing misleading ...

stop being used, replaced with the

Follow-up:

The following article, it uses the confusing
misleading diabetic word without clarifier
-9- times, and uses the confusing misleading
diabetes word without clarifier 29 times.

On page 2 of the article, it manages to
use the type 2 diabetes phrase -2- times,
and uses the type 1 diabetes phrase -1-
time.

It fails to mention the rarity of type 1
diabetes in the locale the study was con-
ducted, China (and in no small part con-
tributed to by the abundant usage of the
diabetes and diabetic words without any ...

... clarifier), the critical facts of the
unpreventability of the overwhelming major-
ity of High Glucose Conditions (listed in
the original post in this thread) are not
addressed.

That includes the condition I have, that
being Insulitis Insulinitis (the proposed
new name for the total or near-total loss
of endogenous insulin due to Insulitis)
is NOT preventable (not with fruit, not
with any food, not with any exercise, not
with anything on the planet, not yet any-
way).

2 of the egregious untrue statements in
the following article, among many untruths
and confusing-inducing statements made
using the confusing misleading diabetes
and diabetic terms:

"Science Finally Confirms That Fruit Does
Not Raise Blood Sugar In Diabetics And Even
Prevents Diabetes"

"Time and time again diabetic patients have
been wrongly told to avoid fruit by their
practitioners for the false fear that it
will raise their blood sugar when the oppo-
site is true."

Comments:

The opposite is true? Well, the opposite
of 'raise' is 'lower', and that's patently
false as fruit does not lower glucose level.

See above (and the original post in this
thread) for refutation of the prevention
claim in the title, as only Preventable
Cellosis (the proposed new name for pre-
ventable type 2 diabetes) has any possi-
bility of being prevented with the amount
of fruit mentioned in the article.

The article addressed above [with clari-
fying inserts, not part of original title,
correcting the misinformation presented
in the original title]:

Science Finally Confirms [actually, a
study in China claims] That Fruit Does
Not Raise Blood [Glucose (and that, a
patently false claim] In [those with
any High Glucose Condition] and Even ...

Prevents [Preventable Cellosis, the
sole High Glucose Condition that can
be prevented; all other High Glucose
Conditions are currently unpreventable,
and actually, the study showed a re-
duced risk of Cellosis, not a total
prevention]
