thus far only been tested in mice.
2) They are developing a pill version of
the drug and hope to start human trials
this year.
3) The drug is not being developed to
deal with Cellosis (new clarifying name
for type 2 diabetes) but a side effect of
the drug is reduction in risk of getting
Cellosis.
4) References to weight loss in the art-
icle, unclear if the drug induces weight
loss or simply prevents weight gain, so

that promotes magnesium absorption into the
mitochondria, the rodent’s metabolism increased
— resulting in weight loss and no sign of fatty liver
disease. CPACC — a small, synthesized molecule —
produces the same results.

promising, the scientists still need to develop an
MRS2-modulating molecule for research involving
human participants.
In addition, the study authors say that the MRS2
channel is expressed widely throughout the body.
