Since rapper Kanye West's mother died just one day after undergoing
plastic surgery, more of Dr. Jan Adams' patients are coming forward --
claiming they've been the victims of botched surgeries.

Eyewitness News spoke exclusively to one Las Vegas woman who says her
experience with the California plastic surgeon has left her badly
scarred -- both physically and emotionally.

It's been a year and a half since Las Vegan Michele Trobaugh went
under doctor Jan Adams' knife to receive breast implants and a tummy
tuck. She now doubts her body or her life will ever be the same.

After the high-risk pregnancy and delivery of her second son Kyle,
Michele wanted to repair some of the damage to her body -- especially
her breasts and stomach. She says she chose doctor Jan Adams for a
reason.

"I saw him on the Discovery Health Channel, and I thought this guy
must really know what he's doing."

But just days after Michele received breast implants and a tummy tuck,
she knew something was wrong.

"You're saying to your doctor, 'Something's not right here, there's
too much drainage and a lump under my arm and I can't put my arm down,
and I'm having a hard time breathing.' But he's saying you have to
give this time to heal," she said.

But nearly one year after her surgery, the problems she saw initially
didn't disappear.

"He absolutely butchered me," she said.

Michele underwent a second surgery to eliminate pockets of fluid on
both sides of her waist, suffered several infections and is still
dealing with the physical repercussions of her cosmetic surgery.

"I get shooting pains in my breast, a hard lump on my side and I'm
concerned that the implant will come out -- it's bulging already."

None of her complications are covered by insurance, nor is any
reconstructive surgery to repair the damage. And hearing of the death
of hip-hop artist Kanye West's mother has re-opened her own emotional
wounds once again.

"I was in tears the minute I heard it, because I knew it was only a
matter of time. After what I went through, it was only a matter of
time before somebody actually died."

Michele has been asked to share her story with "Inside Edition" next
week, along with several other former patients of Dr. Jan Adams.

She has been offered money from other media outlets -- but Michele
says she has refused to accept any payment for her story, even though
she cannot afford to hire an attorney to file a medical malpractice
lawsuit.

"I don't want to profit from this. I don't want to pad my personal
bank account. I want to get the damage repaired, so I can put this
behind me."

An employee at the Euclid Outpatient Clinic in Fountain Valley,
California, tells Eyewitness News that doctor Jan Adams is no longer
affiliated with the facility and would not provide any forwarding
contact information.

The Discovery Health Channel has also pulled his show -- "Plastic
Surgery Before and After" -- from its line-up since the death of Donda
West.

Through his spokesperson, doctor Jan Adams has said he has done
nothing wrong but expressed his condolences to the West family.

I love the way these people try to make having plastic surgery for
their vanity sound like they really, *really* need the surgery for a
more valid reason--what does a "high risk" pregnancy have to do with
anything involving totally elective plastic surgery? If you are over
35, you might be considered high risk. And since when is what
pregnancy does to your body considered "damage."

I saw the feaure from Las Vegas and the damage done by this surgery was
awful.
Jan Adams is a quack, IMO and should not be touching any one.
