This is a complete set of forty volumes bound in three quarter brown leather
and green marbled boards and green marbled end pages throughout; Gilt top
edges; Other edges are uncut; Tissue guarded frontis in each volume, with
some scattered illustrations throughout; Five raised bands on spines
creating six heavily decorated gilt compartments.

Condition is Good to Very Good. Volume One has the front board separated
and about an inch tear at the top of the spine. There is an owners
inscription in volume one only. The other exteriors are intact with some
edge-wear that is evident in the photographs. The texts look and feel to be
tight and unread.

The dimensions of the close-up pictures are a little distorted due to the
camera lens.

This is a fine and attractive set!
