Do you know what third party cards will work with DEC unix 4
on an alphastation 200 4/233 ?
A PCI based Number Nine Revolution 3d (TM)card refused to work
with this alpha box. Although an older different Number Nine
card Worked in both the 100 and 233 machines I have.
Will a Diamond Fire GL 1000 PCI, 4MB Version ( it has a vga
out port ) work better?
I have been told by some digital folk that a certain version
of the PowerStorm(tm) is a reworked S3 Trio 64 card. Can
Anybody support this ... http://www.digitalfinancial.com sells
remarketed dec stuff but at ridiculous prices (4 year old video
card is $500+).
Thanks in advance,
J.C. Magras
You need to look at the Digital web pages, look up the SPD (System
Product Description) for Digital Unix 4D and this will have a complete
run-down on supported hardware.
I'm using a Powerstorm 4D40 on my 500/400 box, but I know many others
are supported and not all are Digital parts...

There is no question of faith or belief in this. Quite the opposite,
this system teaches people to believe in absolutely nothing. You must
verify everything that you see, hear and feel. Only in this way can
you come to something.
