Simple question, only wanted a simple answer.
No need to get bent out of shape.
I'd still have my doubts about this company, one good word does not
make up for all the bad.

I can't speak from the people who are having problems with them, but let me
relate my story. On Monday, July 7 I called PC's a la Carte to order an
ABIT SM5 with AMD K5-90. Karl told
me that he didn't have any K5-90's in stock, but he would replace it with a
K5-133 at the same price, if I wanted (which I obviously accepted). That
done, he informed me that they would be shipping that night and I (living
in the next state) should recieve it on Wed or Thu.

Thursday, not having recieved anything, I called PC's a la Carte to get a
UPS
tracking number. Karl gave me the number over the phone the first time I
called. When I checked with UPS, they showed that that tracking number was
for a package delivered elsewhere in Charleston, WV on Tuesday and signed
for by someone else. Needless to say, I was unhappy, and called Karl to
complain. Karl looked it up on the computer and verified the tracking
number he gave me. He then said that UPS must have screwed up and he would
call them to put a trace on it and call me right back, which he did. When
he called back, he said that he would ship a new MB/CPU out overnight for
me and that I should just refuse shipment on the first when it arrived.
Having read the horror stories I assumed I was being given the major
runaround, that the tracking number he gave me was a lie, and that he was
just now getting around to shipping, and I'd be looking for it early next
week.

Well, unlike the other posts, this story has a happy ending. The package
arrived Thursday night about a half hour after I talked to Karl. On the
package
was indeed the same tracking number he gave me. It was also marked
"Misrouted" by UPS. When I opened the package, it had an invoice attached
and everything was as I ordered it. Today, the package that Karl send out
overnight arrived at around 1:00.

I am very happy with the service I recieved from PC's a la Carte. I am not
doubting any of the stuff anyone else has said, but I thought that I should
let you know that I would definately order from them again. Their prices
are excellent ($50 less than Bob Odell for the same merchandise) and in my
case, the service was also excellent. Just proof that when they say UPS
messed up, it could be true like it was in my case.

I think that they are definately going through some growing pains, and
these incedents likely happend, however they are capable (as they've shown)
of providing excellent service.

Gee, Mike, if you are worried about bandwidth maybe you shouldn't have
quoted my entire message in your reply. I was having trouble with my news
server, couldn't verify it posted, so I posted it again a second time. So
I guess the answer is 2. Why don't you ask the same question of people
that post their complaints every fucking day.

Sorry if I took that the wrong way Mike and was a little harsh in my reply.
I apoligize. No hard feelings. I know that one good word doesn't make up
for it, but I know that most people only post the bad, when it's good they
stay quiet, so I thought I'd let people know that I had a good experience.

Well, I made the mistake of giving the liar Karl at PCs a la Carte the
benefit of the doubt for an "honest" mistake, and ended up regretting
it.

As I said before, if it's in stock, Karl does a decent job with it.
However...

well, I've told my tale of woe here before, and will again if it will
keep folks from making my mistakes.

PCS A LA CARTE SUCKS AND TELLS YOU LIES ABOUT SHIPPING AND AVAILABILITY
OF PRODUCTS.

You have been warned.

While I sympathise with the experience Mr/Ms. Yiyi had with
pcsalacarte, my experience was a GOOD one. Karl (owner of pcsala..)
shipped out my abit it5h the same day I ordered and I received it
on time. The UPS tracking number I got immediately upon ordering
was very helpful in letting me keep track of when I could expect to
receive it at my home (most other vendors were unable to give me
a UPS tracking number immediately).

I have however, yet to unpack & test this board (karl said he would
test it before shipping it). As soon as I have received my other
parts for my computer, I'll post my experiences with all the
vendors I have dealt with. IMO, don't let one bad-experience
post scare you from dealing with any vendor. I would (and do
intend to) deal with pcsalacarte again.

Just a satisfied customer,
Gopal Agrawal

There are many companies interested in our track consumer behavior. Recently it was revealed that Apple and Android track the GPS locations of users in some versions of the operating system. There are vehicles which are installed in gps car tracking to always be possible to know what their position, not only in the case of auto theft. There are special applications for gps dealer, useful for monitoring the location of all devices
