Illegal use of other controlled substances
Lying
Covering up the Weider Child Exploitation

Well put. I don't know, I don't even find the thought of income tax
evasion very interesting. Happens all the time.
The other two matters you mention, of course, are interesting only from
a prurient viewpoint, since most of us have no connections with any
legal department and are not in a position to do anything about these
accusations. And personally I'm not the kind to get outraged at the
thought of Arnie prostituting himself ... yawn. Although if Weider actually
was involved in child pornography it would be nice if he was caught and
punished, but why does misc.fitness need to know about it until then?
RLacy, you need to find a more interested audience for your accusations.

This really has only a little to do with the above subject, but all the banter about Arnold's past and male prostitution and crap brought to mind a book I read last summer, called "Little Big Men - Bodybuilding Subculture and Gender Construction" by Dr. (Robert?) Klein, an Anthropology and Sociology professor at SUNY. I thought it was pretty good, and was just wondering if anybody else has read it, and if so, what they thought.
For those who are going to try and get it just because it has stories about male prostitution, you'll probably be disappointed - names were all changed, and the subject was only one chapter of the entire book. But if you'd like to read a good, thought provoking book, I would recommend it.

More likely with wealthy closet cases, those with a wife and a house
in the hills, "sponsoring" some up and coming bodybuilder.

I've run into Arnold four times here in Los Angeles, the
last time at his restaurant, Shatzi's on Main in Santa Monica.
I've eaten there about six times since its opened. The
sausage appetizer is great, if you don't stop to think
how much fat it contains, or what else it may contain.
So I was there with my roommate, we had just finished working
out at Gold's Venice, and the place was a bit crowded. The
hostess asked if we would mind sitting at the very first
table right in front, a two-seater mini-booth, perhaps its
suppose to be a love seat. So we sit there, eating
our sausage, waiting for our salads. And along comes in
Arnold and Maria. Arnold gives us a good look as he goes
by. What did that look mean ? Was he thinking "I've _told_
the hostess not to sit two guys at the love seat." ? Or,
"Couldn't they have dressed up a bit ?" (we were in our
gym clothes) Or, perhaps Arnold _is_ gay or bi, and he was
just checking us out. I don't know.
So Arnold and Maria go sit down at three tables that
have been pulled together. A few minutes later their
guests arrive. Turns out to be the birthday of one of
their guests.
So we are eating our dinner. And boy does Maria's voice
carry. I couldn't hear the others, but I sure heard every
word she said.
We finish our dinner and leave. Outside is Arnold's Humvee
(sp) parked right in front. Tonight he has a driver,
standing next to the vehical, bored as hell. That night,
his driver was this incredibly muscular asian bodybuilder,
most definately a member of the club.
The best way to discourage the postings of outrageous topics
is to highjack their threads.
So if you've checked out my home page before, be sure

just want to see how many hits my machine can handle)
