I've recently begun looking in again. I found the political content
just too tiring some time ago, got busy, and didn't miss it too much.
But, I'm seeing some good posts here again, and trying to pitch in.

BTW, what makes incline benches work so much better than flat benches
for chest? I quit doing flats and started doing inclines after reading
here, and I'm making faster progress.

I have to agree with you, it's the heavy political content which has
reduced my involvement, it's never-ending and so boring. And you are
quite right, there is very little humour.
I didn't dislike the long-running flames, at least they were earthy
and were quite funny. I think the farts that hide behind "killfiles"
and ignore people with whom they can't cope, have much to answer for.
Cohen is always good value, as is Hanson, and it's good to see David
the Oz back. It's a shame Williams has gone anal, as he used to be
quite good value too.
And the attempts at "trolling" are pathetic. You would think that a
silly old fart like Bill DAVIDSON, after all the years he has been at
it, could come up with something more adult than "flooding" the group
with 750 kb plus of endless repetition of his name!! <sigh>
He reminds me of Father Jack in the Irish comedy series Father Ted.

The Lions have looked good. It will be interesting to see the first test.
On the local side, I've been playing regularly and except for my left

really trying to get out of the first division games, but unfortunately
we often don't have a better front row player. Very sad, really. The
guys commented when they started talking me into playing that I was in
better shape than 1/2 the team. I noted "not after a game". The aches
just don't go away at 47 years of age.

Speaking of things Welsh and English, I and my family will be in the UK
during the middle of August, including the weekend of the 13/14 and a
bit on either side of that. Does any soccer worth watching take place
during that time that we might like to see? Both my boys play
competitive "club" soccer here and I've recently started assistant
coaching as well. And I've never seen rugby in person so that might be
nice to take in, too. We'll be somewhere vaguely an hour or so north of
London for the most part visiting family, and taking a trip for a day or
three to northern Wales to visit more family there.

Well, I can only control my own behavior. (And, actually, I don't

Typically, I don't pay too much attention to trolls. I enjoy reading
the questions and follow-up advice related to exercise, but I also
enjoy some of the OT threads as well. The fictional stuff posted by
imaginary people is so much stale air.

I'm still in the middle of Saturday. We have a crowd of friends who
came over for breakfast and to watch the game. Beer at 0730 in the
morning should be decadent, but in a rugby atmosphere it all seems
entirely appropriate.
We are now on the patio consoling ourselves with a variety of
concoctions, with the BBQ flashed up and many 'cooks' waiting to burn
various types of meat, and otherwise adulterate other variants of
perfectly good food with their dubious culinary skills. I'm happy to
sit back and just make sure mine is well done.
It looks like the 'wake' is set to last all day and well into the
evening! ;o)

What Brinks says is probably very true . . .in *his* case. What he says
about craving attention describes himself perfectly. You just have to see

Well, we do need to differentiate between "censure" and "censor."
Nobody can be officially censored from an unmoderated Usenet
newsgroup. Individual censorship is possible by killfiling, but it's
ineffective if someone keeps changing their name.
Censure is quite frequent in MFW, but it's not very effective.
Mockery is only slightly more effective, but it's a lot more fun.
Oh, and David must have missed Hudson's memo about you being on the
