ZMA Track Club Update

Members of the ZMA Track Club won 3 US titles at the recent US Track
and Field Championships in Eugene, OR on June 21-24, 2001

Chryste Gaines - women's 100 meter gold medalist with a fast time of
10.89.

Marion Jones - women's 200 meter gold medalist with a time of 22.52. It
was cold
(55 degrees) and raining with a 3.7 meter headwind.

Tim Montgomery - men's 100 meter gold medalist with a fast time of
9.95.

In addition, Kelli White got second in the women's 100 meters and 3rd in
the
200 meters behind Marion.

Ramon Clay also got second in the men's 200 meters.

These 5 athletes will be going to the World Championships in Edmonton,
Canada
on August 3-12, 2001.

Good thing they put the comode on the finish line end of the stadium.
