Hey Bob!
This from the Mann who gave me advice and helped me break 3 bills on the bench! Funny, I just popped on here after many years myself and saw your post. Jeez Bob, sorry to hear about the shoulder.
I think I was talking to you about my back last time I was on here. You gave me some names to check out. After a round of doctors and MRI etc, I stopped just short of getting the surgery to cut the squishy bits from the herniated discs. In desperation I cut out anything that involved spinal compression especially squats and deads.
The discs decompressed just enough to relieve pressure on spinal cord and the pain slowly went down over a period of a year or so. Now it has been maybe 7 years since I had one of those icepick in the spine episodes. I went back to doing super light deads, 1 plate max once a week and I think it has helped to strengthen the surrounding muscle again, back to the point where I think it helps support. I know I am not cured forever but so far not too bad.
That is a complete pisser about your shoulder though. Even no guitar, that is brutal. Can you attribute it mostly to any one thing in particular?
Dunno who else is still on here but hello to the good folks and go jump in the lake to the other kind. Y'all can just decide for yourselves which camp you're in.
Just might not wait another ten years to come back for another look.
