You mentioned in Pimpology that you doubled your workout volume whilst
on "One" - that put you a how many workouts a week? I know in the past
you've favored shorter, more frequent workouts.
I'm never drinking again BTW. Good scare article. :-)

I probably did 11-12 workouts of 35-45 minutes.
Normally do 5-6 of 30-45 -- I used to sometimes do 10-12 of 20 minutes
or so back when I was a trainer and always at the gym.

I'm drinking a 40 as we speak.

I'm guessing you don't go to failure and they're not full body
workouts - what % of your 1RM are you using?

Thanks.

:-)
For about the same caloric intake I'll take a pint of Chubby Hubby.

I would do one set of about 90-95% of 1-RM, then drop down to 60% or
so and do another 4-5 sets.
No, not full body workouts. I am doing chest, shoulders, triceps,
biceps, calves, and abs every other day; and back (usually various
pull/chinups) and legs (squats, SLDL's) every 4th day. This split ends
up being fairly complicated, so I am not going to write the whole
thing out.

ParDeus:
I've got a question regarding your refeeds. In particular, what exactly do
you mean by a "12 hour refeed/36 hour diet"?
I spread calories out during the (waking) day. Are you eating in the middle
of the night? Because waking hours typically are around 16. Just wondering
how you actually structure a 12/36 diet.
Thanks.

I've tried that and really liked it.

Spread over 6-11 workouts, I imagine it would be complicated. I dig my
current 3 day a week full body routine with 2 heavy and 1 light/OL
workout because I don't feel like I'm leaving gaps in my training if I
miss a day due to the holidays.
Diet one full day, start eating 4-5 hours after I wake up the next
day. Have my last refeed meal before bed. Repeat.

And how is it working for you? What bf% are you doing this at BTW?

It was working really well when I was doing it. I was down to probably
7-8%, and still dropping (normally "hit the wall" at 9% or so)., then
I got the flu, then went on vacation, etc, -- haven't tried it again
since.

Does that mean it is safe to drink while on ONE+? I read your
articles on alcohol but just was curious.

As safe as any other time. And, an androgen will certainly help to
counteract some of the damage alcohol does to one's physique.

Thanks. I'm not stopping the porkoff until I'm damn lean and I'll hold
this strategy for about oh, 2-3 month from now. :-)
I disagree with this to a certain extent. The 1-androstane derivatives
are somewhat resistant to hepatic deactivation and therefore have the
potential to stress the liver if you predispose yourself to it.
Therefore, while taking a 1-androstane you should be nice to your liver
and keep the booze to a minimum
I certainly defer to PA on this, as he knows more about such things --
though ONE is topical, so it would only hit the liver on the way out,
not both.
