Question ... is this doing me any good ... am I doing this the right
ay -(trying to set pulse targets ... what maximums should I aim at?
I lost the manual years ago) ...
I'm basically just trying to get a bit fitter ... I could do with loosing
some weight ... but I guess eating a bit less would help that side more?
Thanks for any advice
Andy
Andy:
You are probably doing cardio benefit, but you would be better off walking.

The fact that you are doing something, means that
you are doing good. The absolutely best exercise
in the world...is the one that you will do.
Target pulse rates are fine, nothing wrong with
that. The biggest thing is to enjoy what you are
doing. If you don't enjoy it, then you will soon
stop--we are an amazing rationalizing species.
Keep after it, listen to your body. Minimum cardio
is about 20 minutes 3 times a week. That is a good
place to start, don't push yourself until you feel
that you are ready. This should be a lifelong
commitment to exercise, no sense in burning out in
the first few months of life.
Good luck
