Q: Do I need to change my long distance service at home?
A: No. The Discount Calling Card is a stand-alone card. It is
separate from your home phone service. You don't need to change
your home long distance carrier.
Q: What extra charges or fees are involved?
A: None. The Discount Calling Card is FREE. There are no monthly
minimum usage requirements; there are no monthly billing fees.
And, there are NO SURCHARGES added to any of your domestic calls
(unlike AT&T, MCI, and Sprint).
Q: What is the difference between interstate and intrastate?
A: INTERSTATE refers to calls made from state to state. When you use
The Discount Calling Card, these calls are billed at a flat rate of
17.5 cents per minute. INTRASTATE refers to calls made within a
specific state. These calls cost as little as 18 cents per minute,
but vary from state to state. In either case, remember that there
are absolutely NO SURCHARGES ever on any Interstate or Intrastate
calls, so the savings are very substantial.
Q: Can I apply for the Discount Calling Card over the phone?
A: No. We need to have your signature on the application form in
order to process your calling card order. You can fax your
completed and signed Order Form to 800-700-4387.

Q: How do I make a phone call?
A: It's quick and easy! Just dial the toll-free access number, enter
the number you are trying to reach, and then dial your personal
authorization number to start the call. This ensures that you get
charged the low rates you expect, and your call is put through
quickly and efficiently.
Q: Can I use the Discount Calling Card to call a computer BBS?
A: Yes, simply enter the phone number like this:

Q: How long will it take to receive the Discount Calling Card?
A: After we receive your application, it takes 10-14 days to process
your order and produce your personalized Discount Calling Card.
Q: What about international calls?
A: You can use your Discount Calling Card to call almost anywhere in
the world from the US. See our Super Saver International Rates
section for foreign countries that have super saver rates. When
you receive your card, you must notify LDDS that you will be
calling internationally from the US. They will then activate this
free option. If, however, you will be calling from a foreign
country back to the US, or between foreign countries, there is a
small $15 annual fee and a separate calling card will be issued for
the international origination service.
