ALBANY, N.Y. — A 39-year-old man was arrested for stealing from
residences while working as a paramedic and firefighter, according
to the Bethlehem Police Department.

Devvan Farina, of Albany, is accused of burglarizing homes where he
knew the resident was recently transported to a local hospital.

According to police, Farina stole from these residences while
employed by the Albany County Sheriff's Office as a paramedic and
when he was a firefighter in the City of Troy.

Farina was charged with burglary, attempted burglary, grand larceny,
criminal mischief and attempted petit larceny. He was arraigned in
Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County
Correctional Facility.

Farina has a preliminary hearing set for February 9, and he's
scheduled to appear back in court on March 5 at 4:00 p.m.
