EMT ASSOCIATION RELOCATES NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS TO MS

Clinton, MS, January 23 -- The National Association of
Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) has relocated its national
headquarters from Kansas City, MO, to Clinton, MS. In making the
announcement, Association President Bruce Shade stated that the
decision to relocate to Mississippi was made after considering
numerous locations and options around the country. "We plugged in all
of the variables such as office and work force costs, travel costs and
accessibility, and Mississippi gave us our best value." stated Shade,
who is the Commissioner of Emergency Medical Services fro Cleveland, OH.
Shade added that Mississippi is also nationally recognized as a
leader in the EMS community, with some of their funding legislation
being used as a model for legislation throughout the country.

NAEMT is the nation's oldest and most active EMT organization,
founded in 1975 to be the national voice for EMT and Paramedic
professionals. NAEMT represents the over 400,000 prehospital
professionals working today in the U.S. With working liaisons with
other organizations such as the American College of Surgeons, it is a
major force in training, public education and reform.
