Ok New question (or a really old one)
As Stethoscopes go which do you think is better ADC or littmann.
The reason I ask is I am seeing a lot of people going to ADC saying they
can hear better from it. I always thought littmann was the best.
Thoughts, comments, Flames?

BTW Happy and safe holidays to all

I have been a medic since 1990, in that time I have only used two
stethoscopes, first was a Littman master cardiology, second and current is a
Littman cardiology II SE. The master is a great scope although I didn't
really like the pediatric adapter for it. But it was stolen out of the back
of my rig at a hospital while I was inside turning over a patient. I like
my current scope even better than I liked the master, it has a push in
rubber peds adapter on the bell side which I always leave in. I have yet to
find a better sounding scope in any environment that I am normally in
(roadside, homes etc etc). I have had friends that have gone with ADC's due
to lower cost, but I think it is worth the little extra. Plus if you go
through a large distributor you might be surprised how low you can get your
Littman, I bought my II SE from Owens and Minor back in 95 for only $70ish.

I've only been EMT'n for a year and a half. I do it as a volunteer. I have a
good paying full time job. When I started EMT class, I purchased a Littmann
Classic II SE, because I wanted the best. I was provided with an ADC
through the EMT class. Now I use them both, I love the Littmann, but to tell
you the truth, I think the ADC is just as good. Blood Pressures and Lung
sounds, is what I use them for the most.

I have been a medic since 1995 and have used a Littman cardiology II SE,it
was a gift when I got my paramedic.
I have used others from time to time but the Littman is better in the back
of the unit ,not that anything is very good
on the road.
all and all I think it's worth the extra $$
