On the whole UK schools are more accountable to parents than Indian
schools are and British parents have the option of home-schooling
their children which is not available to Indian parents.

And yet British parents give false residential addresses to get their
children into schools of which they are not living in the catchment
area.

With what mental make up a child will grow up who watches hundreds of
children walking to and fro a school in the neighbourhood but gets
sent to a school far away often on the basis of parents giving a lie
as to where they live?

Children travelling by public transport long distances, often out of
boredom indulging in criminal nuisance to other travellers, more often
to older infirm travellers.
