EXRESSIVE WATERCOLOR
ADULT WORKSHOP
ST.JOHN, VIRGIN ISLANDS
I have just returned from teaching a Williston Intercesion course in
Watercolor on the Island of St. John, U.S.V.I. I fell in love with the
National State Park, the panoramic vistas, the ever-changing teal sea and
the lovely, friendly people. I have personally painted on many Islands
(the Greek Isles, Antigua, and Bonaire), yet I felt a connection to this
area which my own painting reflected.
Next March of 1995, I will be teaching an Adult Watercolor
Workshop on the island of St. John. The Workshop will be of two sessions
of eight days each. (Students have the option of staying for all sixteen
days.) Dates are:
Saturday, March 11 - Saturday, March 18, 1995;
Sunday, March 19 - Sunday, March 26, 1995.
The "Expressive Watercolor Adult Workshop" will be based in the
National State Park at Cinnamon Bay Campgrounds. Cottages will be rented
at this beautiful beach. Cottages are equipped with: electricity, fans,
two beds, sheets, towels, campstove, table and chairs, cooking and eating
utensils, picnic tables, ice chests, and barbeque grill. The cottages are
roomy and comfortable, with a great view! Bathrooms and showers are a
short step from cottage units.
Everything in St. John is expensive, including lodgings,
restaurants, vehicle rentals, food markets and stores. This Workshop is
an economical and unique way to visit an unspoiled Island Paradise with an
experienced artist, teacher and traveller. All o f the details of the
trip will be taken care of, leaving students free to relax and learn in
this beautiful environment.
Spaces in this Watercolor Workshop adventure are reserved on a
first come, first serve basis until September 30, 1994. Students must
send in a $100.00 deposit, as the cottages at Cinnamon Bay are rented up
to one year in advance.
Join us for a wonderful Workshop during the peak of winter blahs!
All levels of experience are welcome.
