SEMINAR DESCRIPTION: Lotus Notes Visual Programmer (ViP)
enhances the power of the Lotus Notes groupware product and
provides Notes users with enhanced integration to other
database products. ViP offers a rapid application development
environment and access to database platforms such as dBASE,
Paradox, ORACLE and SQL Server.
To unlock the full potential of Lotus Notes ViP, it is
important to train developers in visual programming and data
access. The Lotus Notes ViP Application Development class is
an introduction to the programming tools and features of this
powerful new product.
BENEFITS: In completing this course you will:
* Learn the fundamentals of visual programming within the ViP
environment
* Acquire the skills necessary to build ViP applications that
integrate with Lotus Notes and other data sources
* Gain an understanding for the product that will allow you to
develop your ViP programming skills beyond the scope of the class
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Experienced Lotus Notes developers with
some knowledge of relational database products
PRESENTER: Jon Edward Badenell is a Lotus Certified Notes
Specialist (LCNS) and an Instructor for Lotus Notes and Lotus
Notes ViP. He is currently a technical staff mamber at HTR,
Inc., a leading provider of client/server technology education
and consulting services. He has trained all levels of Lotus
Notes users and developed the Lotus Notes ViP Application
Development course for HTR. He has also worked on client
consulting projects as an application developer and system
administrator.
