I have an indeterminate number of artworks currently on display in an
obscure gallery somewhere in North America. Don't bother coming to the
opening, viewing the work, or making a purchase. I am the Unknown
Artist, and want to keep it that way. Thank you for your support.

You are welcome.
Maybe we can have a duo exposition one day.
I had displays like that with my work.

We will be a 'dream' expo together.

Nice idea Paul. Let's do it. I can see the headline:

Unknown Artists Catch Attention of Art World

Two Unknown Artists will hold a duo exposition next month at a gallery
somewhere in Manhattan. Rumor has it that the work is conceptually
provocative, formally elegant, and some say, right on the very cutting edge
of mainstream capitalist culture. But apparently none of the experts can
agree on the significance of the work. And since the artists, with their
work, have chosen to remain anonymous, no one can be entirely sure.
Pierre McBlanc, a specialist in Contemporary Art at the Contemporary Art
Museum in London calls the artists geniuses.
"It's brilliant," says McBlanc,"in a society that is becoming
increasingly post-human, it was only a matter of time before somebody came
up with this. Why be a famous artist in contemporary society, when you can
be successful as an unknown artist?"
But other experts are skeptical. Many feel that when the artist remains
anonymous and the work is never seen, it takes away from the art experience.

Linda Highbrow of the Art Research Institute in Chicago agrees.
"When I look at art I like to know what I'm looking at," she says, "how
am I supposed to know if I like it, when I can't even see it."
But some contend that this is precisely the point of unknown art. It is
completely open to interpretation. No longer must one deal with the
difficulties of trying to grasp specific meaning intended by an artist.
Now, one can be fully open and able to appreciate art on their own terms.

Suplement [Reactions from the Dutch press, just faxed in]

Dries van Voeten [writer for the arts section of 'De Volkskrant', part time
fabric designer]
...the atempt of them [the unknown artists V.] to cash in on their
anonymousity is a fresh idea in the pretentious art scene. It puts the
question 'who are these artists?' on a lower plane and therefore makes us,
art lovers more curious for the answer. Downright 'crafty' is all I can
conclude...
