I put the LEAST amount of any foreign substance in my septic. Buy the
cheap rollers, brushes and trays and toss them out when finished. I
usually have a good trim brush that I will wash......
The paint may not hurt it, but the cost to replace is to high to even
chance it.

Why doncha just rinse into your lawn or whatever.

Try to minimize the amount of non bio-degradeable material that goes
into the septic system. You don't need to be obsessive about it, but
the less chemicals, the better.

If you want to be safe, rinse them outside -- won't hurt the grass.

Hey!! My advice is free. Take it for what it's worth.

Don't wash the paint supplies in the sink! You will definately disrupt
the delicate balance of bacteria in the septic tank. It can cause serious
problems and end up costing you $$Thousands$$.
For a good septic link on the internet, go to
www.plumbertools.com/plumbert and click on "interesting links". Then
click on septic do's and don'ts. A lot of very good and accurate info on
this link.

Er.... before some poor painter gets his ass sued over this.
Washing a few paint brushes out in the sink isn't going to hurt
anything. Now if he decides to pour out a couple of cans down the
drain it's a different story.

Delicate!? Balance!? Hahahahah. An uncountable number of every kind of
bacteria, plus maggots and roaches galore. No way you can sterilize a
septic tank.
Me thinks that if you have maggots and roaches in your tank, you've got a real
problem...

Are you talking about the septic system or the government offices
in Washington ?
