I am building a home, and need some idea on pre-wire some network cable ?
Any idea ?

Read comp.home.automation and look at the following URLs (as a
start). comp.home.automation folks have been there and done that, so
you'll get more targeted advice from them than from
here. comp.dcom.cabling also exists, but is probably not quite the
same target as what you're after.

One of things that we are doing in building our house is insuring on that
all of the voice/data prewire is Category 5 cabled. Additionally, all of
the video/DSS/home automation prewire is RG-6.

All cabling will be "home run" into a centralized 110 punch block. What
this does is allows for:
1. Simple adds/changes of applications (Local Area Networks, Home
Automation,
Security, etc.)
2. Simplifies management of systems and repair (one central point)
3. Ensures that house is "infrastructure" capable of handling most
communications
technology advances that are being released
4. Gives tremendous flexibility to configuration of internal house multi
media systems

Make sure to have an expert design your configuration for you. I have
seen some messed up jobs that did more harm than good.
