Looking for a copy of an owners manual for a Sears Lawn Tractor, Model
No. 917.254244. The mower is now a 38 inch, 12hp, "oldie" (circa 1988)
but it's a "goodie, a real work horse. I can't find my manual. I'll pay
for postage/copying. Sears sells parts for it but no longer sells the
manual. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I went to www.sears.com and selected parts. Typed in your model number
above and selected page one for parts.
First item listed was part number 120586X Owners Manual. $7.39 before
shipping and handling.

I did the same thing and unfortunatley, when I went to the check-out, the
item was shown as unavailable, called the 800 number and got the same
thing. So, I'm still hunting. Thanks anyway.
