The owners of this store on 34th Street and Madison in Manhattan are
evil and perhaps criminal: I’ve talked to their employees, and they
told me that their paychecks keep on bouncing, and money that is owed
to them is constantly postponed. They don’t even provide health
insurance to their full-time employees, and they lie about
everything.

The government needs to investigate this business.

Employees with bounced paychecks should immediately talk to the
Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division and/or an equivalent
state agency.

The same applies to employees who are laid off or fired and don't
get their final paycheck on time. (In some, but not all, states,
if you are fired or laid off on Tuesday and the next regular payday
is Friday, *all* of your pay is due on that same Tuesday). In any
case, if the normal payday has passed with no paycheck, complain.

This place might get its right to pay employees by check revoked
if it keeps bouncing checks.

A business is not required to provide health insurance. If however,
they deduct money from paychecks for health insurance and don't
provide it, that sounds like fraud.

It sounds like they may soon be doing so - in bankruptcy court.
That often happens to businesses that bounce paychecks. I recommend
that the employees with bounced paychecks at that business start
quietly looking for new jobs.
